DARMAKI, a luxurious footwear couturier, is launching its debut collection for Autumn Winter 2011.

Created by Sultan Al Damarki and a team of Italy’s finest craftsmen, DARMAKI combines artistic and cultural influences with the excellence of superior Italian manufacturing. With DARMAKI’s combination of highly creative designs, a wide range of exquisite materials and careful attention to comfort and durability, this debut collection is set to revolutionise the international designer footwear market.

The woman wearing DARMAKI is elegant, fashion forward and sensual. Acclaimed fashion experts have described DARMAKI’s first collection as a “Walking Work of Art” and an “Art Installation” with styles fusing cutting edge trends and techniques with a truly sensual and feminine twist.

Distinguishing DARMAKI from other designer footwear brands, each shoe has the intricate detail and high-quality mixed material which gives the shoe its own unique inspirational character, as well as a challenging and innovative base construction and extraordinary use of motifs. DARMAKI has also developed its own signature exotic materials which are used to evoke the custom made feel of the final product.

Following the philosophy of Andre Perugia, Sultan Al Darmaki believes that a woman’s personality is revealed in her shoes.

He is inspired by beauty in all its forms with his designs transforming ephemeral beauty into a wearable objet d’art. Sultan Al Darmaki is an enthusiastic and passionate designer who has reinterpreted the art of shoe design by daring to marry a combination of luxurious and rare raw materials in each design. His vision embraces women of all generations and his designs span a wide range of emotions reflecting witty finishes, glamorous impact and classical lines.

Sultan Al Darmaki was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates. A graduate of the American University of Sharjah with a BA in PR and Marketing, he worked for several years in PR and communications in both the private and public sectors. His appreciation of design and his innate artistic talent led him to establish DARMAKI, which is headquartered in London.
