I must confess I am a Scissor Sisters fan! And they are coming to perform in Abu Dhabi on 12th January! Yooohooo!
It is going to be a show to remember as they are well known by their dancing ‘dressed up’ performances! At Halloween 2004 they performed a concert at Brixton Academy, where they asked all the audience to dress up and they themselves performed dressed as the characters from The Rocky Horror Show.
When I heard Scissor Sisters are coming to UAE I was a bit confused though. Didn’t expect such contraversial band with such provocative name and appearances to perform live in this part of the world.
I’m totaly looking forward to the spectale, knowing that they refused to produce a “clean” version of their first album with remark:
“We did have to slap a parental warning sticker on the disc, which is completely absurd. I think a kid listening to Eminem is getting a much more negative message than what we’ve been putting forward. We’ve only got one ‘shit’ and a few ‘tits!’”
