Fashion savvy crowds of Dubai will remember final weeks of 2011 by few events – Splash 2012 Calender launch, Bebe fashion show, Aennis Eunis ’1001 Nights’ Collection launch, Swarovski ‘Sence of Two’ show and finally the most talked about Lady Fozaza Blazers Collection launch at Bloomingdale’s, Dubai Mall.
I was busy that evening, but thanks to Ziad and his photos we can enjoy highlights of the night when Alanoud Badr celebrated her ‘Lady Fozaza’ brand launch.

Recently there was some controversy about the Fozaza blazers design originality, but I don’t want to get into that here. Inspiration can come from anywhere, there are no new things to be invented anymore. Pointy shoulders and prints were global trend last year, from Lady Gaga to Bullets and Butterflies.
Fashion today is an art of recycling and reinvention of good and old, with new shiny packaging. In my opinion.
I wish to congratulate Alanoud on determination to actually take a risk and make an action, using all available resources. There is a lot of people with time and money, but not everyone is ambitious and courageous.
