DUBAI: Saks Fifth Avenue FW 11 Fashion Show
When it comes to fashion shows, Saks Fifth Avenue in Dubai is unsurpassed year after year. This time it wasn’t just a presentation of the latest Fall Winter 11 collections, it was a 7th Dubai anniversary celebration too.
All most important faces from the world of fashion and media were there, all glamorously dressed with perfect hair and make up, showing off their best looks at the red carpet.
The show took place at the Asateer tent near Atlantis hotel on the Palm Jumeirah from where all guests moved to the N’Dulge club for after party.

NEW STORE: Splash Opening at The Dubai Mall

Last Thursday I had really great time at the opening of the Splash store in The Dubai Mall. It was crowded with fans, reporters, photographers, tv crews and of course, bloggers.

The best part of the evening was a bloggers styling competition. We had ten minutes to brows around the shop and select items that would best describe us in the ’African’ theme, as I’d call it (animal prints, earthy colors etc…).

The funniest thing was that I was the only blogger that actually wore the outfit! Thanks to dear Namita from Matrix, this misunderstanding turned out to be great fun!
The winner for ladies – Shamim Kassibawi!
The winners of the competition are dear Shamim in ladies category and Ushi for men. They went home with Splash shopping vouchers worth AED 2000 (nearly EUR 400) each !!!

The rest of us got to keep our selected outfit items! How awesome is that!

NEW STORE: Christian Louboutin Flagship Boutique in The Dubai Mall
OMG!
My beloved shoe designer Christian Louboutin opened a shop in The Dubai Mall! Despite rumors that the flagship boutique will open it’s doors in October or November, actual opening happened on July 23rd without show and pompous ceremonies.
We can tell that Mr. Loubi’s business is doing good, as this is his second stand alone boutique in Dubai and the third location within in the United Arab Emirates.
New shop is located within the prestigious Fashion Avenue of The Dubai Mall, the largest shopping destination in the world, right next door to Armani, McQueen, Gucci, Valentino and other big names.
Interior design of the shop, done by firm ‘212box‘, is in the same recognizable concept of features such as the niche walls, acrylic displays, exotic patterns of textile and red carpet.
Of all three locations The Dubai Mall store offers the biggest selection of handbags, women’s and men’s shoes.
