Ivana Pilja is a fashion designer and a graduate of the “College of Design” in Belgrade, Serbia.
Since 2007, Ivana has designed sport and streetwear lines for various fashion houses whilst gaining in valuable experience. Collection in Supermarket is not only her graduate collection but also her first avant-garde one, as well.
Inspired by Japanese fashion and origami, the collection tries to convey the meaning of a moving sculpture. As a whole it draws from dark elements and incorporates a lot of geometry and symmetry in it’s futuristic pieces. The link to origami is easily noticeable what with all the straight and strong edges and simplified shapes.
Ivana Pilja, the ‘Serbia’s Lady McQueen’ is a rising star in fashion. Her collection cought the eye of many people since she showed it in Holland during FASHIONCLASH Maastricht last summer.
